Rhonda Beasley is an English Language Arts & Literacy Coordinator. Just prior to joining the SCCOE, Rhonda served as a Literacy Coach at East Palo Alto Charter School. Before relocating to the Bay Area, Rhonda worked in Fontana Unified School District as an elementary classroom teacher, Reading First Coach, and finally as a Teacher on Assignment for Literacy at 29 elementary sites. Her areas of expertise include Literacy Foundational Skills, English Language Arts, ELD and SDAIE strategies, DIBELS, data analysis, formative assessments, Gradual Release of Responsibility, Direct Instruction, student engagement, parent involvement, and improving school culture. Rhonda obtained her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Azusa Pacific University, her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the National Hispanic University and her B.A. from Pomona College, Claremont. Rhonda is committed to improving the literacy skills of all children.
